Loop38

FOUNDER, Pianist

Loop38 is a contemporary music ensemble based in Houston, TX that Yvonne founded in the spring of 2016 at Rice University. The chamber orchestra specializes in creating contemporary classical music experiences, performing works for large ensemble - an instrumentation that allows the full timbral spectrum of an orchestra while also showcasing the virtuosic solo capabilities of its musicians. Within their first three seasons, they’ve been featured in the Houston Chronicle, Arts and Culture TX, and Houston CityBook; performed in two Turrell Skyspaces, MATCH, and Rothko Chapel; featured on Houston Public Media’s Encore Houston and Houston Matters segments; and worked with today’s composers such as Shih-Hui Chen, Pierre Jalbert, Karim Al-Zand, Lewis Nielson, and George Lewis.
